How to use refr.you in beta

refr.you helps you show your skills and track record through trusted professional relationships. The beta is simple: complete your profile, ask for referrals from people who know your work, and share stronger proof than a resume alone.

Best results come from keeping your profile current and using refr.you as an ongoing record of trust, not just when you are job searching.

Start here

1. Complete your profile

Add enough detail for contacts and recruiters to understand what you do.

2. Ask for referrals

Request input from colleagues, managers, or peers who have worked with you directly.

3. Share trusted proof

Use your referrals and trust profile to support future opportunities.

How it works

A simple beta workflow

You do not need to learn everything at once. Most beta users only need to do three things to get value from the product.

1

Complete your profile

Go to the Profile tab and add as much useful detail as you can. If you link your LinkedIn profile, upload a LinkedIn PDF, or use a work email address, it helps build confidence and keeps the network credible.

2

Use AI to save time

If your profile is not filled out yet, you can paste LinkedIn profile text into the LinkedIn text box or use a LinkedIn PDF and then use AI autofill to draft your profile faster.

3

Create a referral request

From the Requests tab or homepage, create a new request. Say what you want help with: a general recommendation, feedback on a specific role, or proof of particular skills you used in a past job.

4

Send the request link to the right person

refr.you will generate a share link and draft a message for you. You can preview and edit the message, then send it through email, WhatsApp, or however you normally stay in touch.

Your contact responds with context

Your contact will be asked to comment on your work, explain how they know you, and confirm when you worked together. They can also choose to join the platform themselves.

Tips

What beta users should do first

Ask people who know your work directly

The strongest referrals come from people who worked closely with you and can be specific.

Be clear about what you want feedback on

A focused request is easier to answer well than a generic request for praise.

Keep your profile current

Treat refr.you as a living trust profile you update over time, not just during a job search.
